Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
Our Story
Taylor & Stapleton was founded in 1973 by Paul Taylor and John Stapleton. Initially providing an O&M publication service, out of their experience in the construction industry and due to demand for an independent commissioning specialist, they quickly began to offer building services commissioning. As the industry has evolved, and so the business has responded, with the addition of commissioning management and water treatment activities to its services offering. We have built a reputation for delivering a quality service, and are one of the oldest and most respected HVAC commissioning companies in the South of England.
With Paul Taylor retiring in 1999, and John Stapleton in 2005, control of the business was passed over to his sons, Paul and Jonathan, who, by then, had established leading roles. As part of the evolution of the business, and its decision to undertake water treatment “in-house”, Andy Chapman re-joined as a Director in 2010, having previously spent 10 years of his earlier career with Taylor & Stapleton.
More recently, we have continued to develop from within, with David Richmond progressing into the role of Technical Director, and Phil Gover stepping up as Business Development Manager.
The business continues to flourish, as David and Phil assume responsibility for the day-to-day running of our commissioning and water treatment projects, Andy leading our Commissioning Management. Jonathan for commercial and financial matters, and Paul supporting Commissioning Management projects.
